These applications that help fight against food waste
Today, 1/3 of the food produced in the world is thrown away. Faced with this scourge, there are several applications that allow you to fight against food waste. In addition to saving money, you can do a good deed for the planet in just a few clicks.
Too Good To Go
"Eat on a low price while fighting against food waste, it's possible!" is the app's credo.
Present in 14 countries, Too Good To Go is an application that connects merchants who have unsold goods with consumers. The concept is simple; The consumer picks up a batch of unsold goods directly from the retailer he has chosen. Thanks to the app's map, you can discover new establishments and treat yourself for an average of 4 euros. Historically, the app has worked a lot with bakers. Indeed, the idea comes from the observation that bakers have to throw away a lot of products in the evening, since they are consumed from day to day. Today, the offer has expanded, as there are restaurants, greengrocers and local supermarkets.

Phenix
In the same principle, there is the Phenix application which allows you to make a concrete gesture against waste while saving money on your groceries. All you have to do is geolocate yourself and choose an establishment on the application. The choice is wide as there are supermarkets, grocery stores, caterers, cheese shops and butchers. Unlike Too Good To Go, you have the option to choose the type of basket you are interested in : organic, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.
Finally, all you have to do is go to the merchant to pick up your order.

You can adapt the recipe according to your diet: vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free, etc. Personalized recipes are quick, accessible and original.
The app also offers to scan your products. This way, you can keep track of use-by dates and prioritize which ingredients to eat.
