Connecting, supporting, relieving
✨ MyNursingAngel: the application that reinvents the monitoring of oncology patients
In Belgium, more than 465,000 people are living with cancer. Compared to them, only 3,100 nurses specialising in oncology. The result: health professionals in overload... and patients often alone, left to their own devices at home to manage the side effects of treatments.
It is to meet this double challenge that MyNursingAngel was born. 💙
Designed and imagined by Zilfi Balci, a nurse specializing in oncology, MyNursingAngel is an innovative application that places the patient at the heart of his or her care pathway.
📱 Who and what is My Nursing Angel for?
Allows the patient to be monitored remotely and in real time, reassuring him/her in his/her care pathway and in his/her original language.
The application will be personalized to the specific treatment of the patient, who will benefit from a privileged link with his or her nurse who is in charge of the follow-up.
Also allows nurses to have all the elements related to well-being, constants and side effects in real time for optimal follow-up.
Thanks to MyNursingAngel, patients benefit from daily support, even remotely, to better understand and manage the side effects of their treatments. MyNursingAngel aims to be an " all-in-one " solution to centralize all patient treatments in a single environment. This is valuable support to improve their quality of life, but also saves time for nurses, who can focus on the essentials.
Independent of hospitals, the application offers a new approach, which humanizes and facilitates the follow-up of oncology patients... while protecting caregivers from exhaustion.
I am now looking for one (or more) passionate and motivated partner(s) to help me grow the project!

Cofounder
For 22 years, I worked as a nurse, including 11 years in oncology, as a nurse care coordinator. 🩺 Throughout my career, I have been involved in professional associations (SIO and BHS) and trade unions, always with one goal in mind: to put people at the heart of my job by focusing on contact with patients.
However, over the years, time constraints and the increase in the number of patients have made this increasingly difficult. A year before the COVID-19 pandemic, I was already thinking about an innovative solution: an application centralizing information from pharmaceutical companies, protocols, and side effects to be monitored.
In July 2022, then on the verge of burnout but convinced of the usefulness of this project, I made a strong choice: to resign to devote myself entirely to MyNursingAngel. 💙 A project designed by a nurse, for caregivers and patients.
