Project description

Smile is a home delivery service for medication aimed at vulnerable and isolated populations. We have created a community of supportive neighbors who pick up orders from local pharmacies and deliver them to patients within the same day. Orders can be placed via a call center or our web platform. We currently deliver in all municipalities of Brussels.

Our mission is to make access to healthcare more inclusive and to strengthen neighborhood cohesion. We aim to help modernize local pharmacies to provide a more human and sustainable alternative to large medical platforms.

Profile

I am looking for several partners who are ready to commit and join our team. We are seeking different profiles to contribute to our success and growth. Here are the available opportunities:

Communication and Marketing: Create and produce engaging content for our various platforms.
Finance and Administration: Ensure the effective management of our back-office, including accounting, financial management, and administrative tasks.
Community Management: Actively engage with our online community by interacting with our users and responding to their needs.

Strengthening Relationships and Patient Follow-Up: Maintaining the relationship between the patient and their pharmacist is crucial for ensuring continuity of care and mutual trust. We enhance patient follow-up by providing regular support and making treatments more accessible and easier to manage.

Digital Modernization: We are accelerating the digital transformation of pharmacies to modernize services and improve efficiency. We support nurses and home care professionals by providing digital tools and effective logistical support.

Sustainable Commitment: Engaging citizens in a useful project strengthens social ties and encourages participation. We make medical logistics more sustainable by using eco-friendly practices and optimizing resources.

About the Founder

Bastien Van Wylick

Cofounder

I am an entrepreneur passionate about technology and innovation for the common good. I have spent a decade developing the impact-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem in Belgium. At the same time, I wanted to create an ambitious project that embodies the ideal model in my view: a social enterprise that primarily seeks a positive impact while ensuring economic viability.

Smile has been a laboratory where we experimented with various models and invested countless hours in R&D to ultimately create a project that makes sense and, I hope, will inspire others in the future. As the founder and CEO of Smile, I am involved in all aspects of the project (product, marketing, sales, finance, legal, HR), with a particular focus on coordinating the team members (volunteers, freelancers, employees, interns).

I have a generalist background and am currently looking to surround myself with experts in their fields who also have an entrepreneurial spirit.
