Faced with the saturation of the rental market, both public and private, collective accommodation has been set up thanks to the regional scheme "Brussels helps Ukraine". These temporary reception places aim to offer safe accommodation and accompany refugees in their integration in Brussels, providing them with support tailored to their needs.

The position in a few words

In collaboration with the other co-coordinator and the team, you will participate in the management of the reception programs on the Emil, Tritomas and Cailles sites. Your role will consist of supporting the operational management of the sites, supporting the autonomy of the inhabitants and developing a network of partners to promote the socio-economic integration of the people accommodated in Brussels.

As such, your missions will be to:

  • Participate in the observation of living spaces and their collective dynamics in order to develop the project according to the needs and desires of the people accommodated.

  • Contribute to the analysis of the needs of the field teams and support requests in terms of organization, training, recruitment, etc.

  • Contribute to the planning of community activities and collective social support.

  • Support the team in charge of socio-community mediation in the management of the issues/tensions/problems identified at the individual and collective level.

  • Participate in "conciliation committees" and conflict management with project partners.

  • To promote the strengthening of links with associative and institutional partners in the psycho-medico-social, housing and employment sectors in the Brussels region.

  • Participate in "monitoring committees" and meetings with the Region with a view to improving the policy of welcoming people in precarious situations with a view to mixing the public.

  • Represent the project within the governance of Communa in coordination with the "1st links" roles of the sites (participation in meetings, cooperation with the Communa poles, etc.).

  • Ensure the budgetary monitoring of the programmes and the justification of subsidies in collaboration with the general coordinator and the administration-finance department.

  • Contribute to the writing of activity reports in collaboration with the other members of the team.

The person's mission framework may have to evolve according to the experience of the project. In view of the particular context of the implementation of this project, the team's missions could indeed be required to adapt to the reality on the ground and to the challenges identified
