Their main mission is to harvest uneaten fruit in private gardens with the help of volunteer harvesters.
In order to further combat food waste, they also support producers by recycling their waste. Part of the fruit harvested is directly redistributed to social organizations so that they can benefit from quality and seasonal fruit. In addition to redistributing their fruit, partner organisations participate in the harvests as well as in various awareness-raising activities, such as 'zero waste' cooking workshops. The aim is to support them in the processing and enhancement of the fruit that FruitCollect gives them.
In order to support FruitCollect's social actions, another part of the fruit harvested from private homes is transformed into 100% Belgian and natural products. These products are then sold to changemakers who share common values with the association. All this in a short circuit.

A taste of the team
The FruitCollect team consists of 5 superheroes, more than 500 "FruitCollectors" and more than 500 donors. In order to meet the challenge of food waste and improve tomorrow, they are looking for dynamic, self-starting, open-minded people.
With offices within Circularium, a centre for local innovation and circular production in Brussels, it is not uncommon to drink a beer as a team, taste good fruit or do team building activities.
Fun fact: since 2015 more than 165 tons of fruit and vegetables have been harvested 💪

Our commitments to a sustainable world
An anti-waste juice: All FruitCollect juices are made from surplus fruit harvested in private gardens and surplus vegetables bought at fair prices from producers. So, instead of throwing them away or letting them rot, FruitCollect and its volunteers recycle these surpluses by practicing the circular economy.
FruitCollect is part of the social and solidarity economy by distributing part of its fruits and vegetables to associations in order to warm the hearts of people in need. Indeed, social and solidarity assistance is anchored in the values of the non-profit organisation.
FruitCollect juice is artisanal and 100% Belgian. Indeed, all fruit and vegetables are harvested in Belgium. The juices are then pressed in a family business in Hainaut.
