Head of Fundraising

The social economy represents 1 in 8 jobs in Belgium and is now present in a wide variety of sectors, offering a multitude of goods and services. Les Petits Riens has been a leading player for more than 85 years. Its economic activity of collecting, sorting and selling second-hand goods, in addition to its positive environmental impact, is a platform for socio-professional integration for more than 500 people each year. The profits from the sales also allow the financing of social actions active in access to housing, employment and daily support for the most vulnerable. 

As part of its development strategy, in order to make the world fairer and more united and to increase its financial income, the Public Utility Foundation Les Petits Riens is recruiting: A Corporate Fundraising Manager, Major Donors and Bequests. ✨

👉 Your mission is to develop effective philanthropy with individuals, foundations and companies in Belgium in order to raise the necessary funds to finance social projects. 

Under the responsibility of the Director of Personnel and Communication and in collaboration with your colleague in charge of one-off and regular donors, you will be responsible for: 

• Propose to the management a strategy for acquiring and retaining companies, foundations and major donors. 

• Make this strategy operational. 

• Identify large potential donors within our database. 📝

• Prospecting, approaching and retaining companies and foundations in order to obtain financial support for our actions. 

• Develop, manage and follow up on contacts with middle donors and major donors. 

• Follow up on bequests in collaboration with the notary and inform applicants of information about bequests and donations. 

• Work closely and provide mutual backup with your fellow Fundraiser. 

• Collaborate with all members of the communication team.

• You ideally have a first experience in fundraising and you are fluent in French and Dutch. 

• You demonstrate strong strategic, interpersonal and communication skills to approach and convince people to support us financially. 

• You have developed a network of partners who could be made aware of the cause of Les Petits Riens. 🤗

• You are proficient in Excel, database management and CRM tools. 

• You master the management of digital communication tools. 💻

• You are a good listener, diplomatic and seek to promote adherence. 

• You value collaboration and teamwork. 🤝

• You are rigorous and demanding in managing budgets, validating the content of operations and reporting. 

• You demonstrate good writing skills in French and Dutch. 

• You are motivated and determined by a meaningful project.
