Job description

Background :

The production department of the non-profit organisation Les Petits Riens employs 123 people. It covers 5,000 m² of workshops and recycles 7,000 tonnes of goods harvested each year. 

The department's mission is to select and sort the second-hand goods collected in order to market or recycle them. In collaboration with the Department of Human Resources and Socio-Professional Integration, these activities are training and support platforms for workers in the process of socio-professional integration.

The workshops of the production department (Textile sorting - miscellaneous objects) are responsible for guaranteeing the availability and promotion of the different categories of textiles and accessories intended for the commercial network, in particular for the association's 30 stores. 

It is in this context that we are recruiting a Team Leader to strengthen our team of managers of the Textile Sorting workshops. You are responsible for managing skills and coordinating day-to-day production activities.

Your activities revolve around:

  • Manage and supervise a team (on average of 4 to 15 people);

  • Support and motivate the talents of your team in order to promote their personal and professional development, both in the field and during individual interviews;

  • Support the onboarding of new team members;

  • Train teams so that all employees acquire the skills required for each sorting position;

  • Monitor the objectives and KPIs of the production activities in your area;

  • Supervise the improvement of the production processes in your area;

  • Make strategic choices to achieve collective objectives and ensure the sustainable growth of production activities;

  • Ensure compliance with the criteria for the recovery of the different categories of textiles;

  • Ensure compliance with work procedures as well as the cleanliness and safety of the equipment and personnel in your area. 

Profile

  • You show an interest in the challenges in the second-hand sector;

  • You have the ability to grow, to create cohesion and support for the team;

  • You demonstrate a high sense of organization and action;

  • You have interpersonal skills and an ability to adapt to a multicultural environment;

  • You want to provide support to people who are re-entering the job market;

  • You have a sense of communication, especially when it comes to public expression;

  • You have the ability to manage budgets/costs/investments according to the objectives set;

  • You are fluent in oral/written French, knowledge of Dutch is an asset;

  • You have a basic knowledge of the Office 365 Pack (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.);

  • You are able to implement safety measures and work procedures.
