Job description

The non-profit organisation Les Petits Riens is a Social Economy company that has been active for more than 80 years in the collection, sorting/repair and sale of second-hand goods in our network of 24 stores. Each year, our 3,500 m² central warehouse processes some 8,000 tonnes of raw materials and finished products (storage of harvested materials, finished products, order preparation, reception of customers/donors).  

For its operational management, we are looking for a Stock Manager to coordinate a team of 8 people. 

 👉 Mission 

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Director, your mission will be: 

  • The management of a team of 8 people, some of whom are in the training process through professional integration contracts. 

  • The safety of people working or accessing the stock. 

  • Management of incoming and outgoing flows based on a rigorous inventory of stock contents. 

  • The co-conceptualization and implementation of digitization and inventory management optimization projects. 

💼 Your tasks 

  • Strictly comply with and ensure compliance with security measures and procedures, including their updating. 

  • Ensure the quality of the reception of customers / donors / suppliers. 

  • Monitor the incoming and outgoing flows of the depots thanks to efficient data collection and rigorous administrative monitoring. 

  • Anticipate fluctuations in the stock of raw materials and finished products - just-in-time and seasonal management - thanks in particular to an efficient inventory. 

  • Organize order picking for our 24 stores and international customers. 

  • Communicate effectively and proactively with the departments that use the depots. 

  • Ensure the maintenance and management of handling equipment: forklifts, stackers, pallet trucks, clarck. 

  • Coordinate the management of cleanliness and waste disposal. 

  • Optionally, support for internal events that require a larger influx of stock. 

Profile

  • You have at least a bachelor's degree with a logistics orientation or solid experience in an equivalent position. 🎓

  • You have useful experience as a Logistics Operator, Stock/Warehouse Manager and team management. 

  • You are able to ensure a benevolent and collaborative management. 🤗

  • You like to pass on your skills to colleagues and more particularly to the members of your team who are part of a professional integration trajectory. 

  • You communicate clearly and appropriately to each of your interlocutors. 

  • You are able to organize and manage the execution of recurring tasks in a changing reality of your stock flows (we work with donations). 

  • You have no health contraindications for working in an area of drafts, dust and carrying loads. 

  • You are comfortable using Microsoft tools and have proven knowledge of Excel.

  • Full-time permanent contract (38 hours/week) from Monday to Friday, under Executive status.
