To support the growth of our biorefinery business unit, we are looking for a highly motivated and qualified analytical biochemical laboratory technician /researcher to join our team and play a crucial role in our research and development efforts. 🚀

💼 Position Summary:

The Analytical Biochemistry Laboratory Technician/Researcher will be responsible for conducting a variety of analytical tests and experiments, with a focus on the analysis of lipids, sugars, and proteins. This role requires expertise in HPLC, mass spectrometry (MS), and various spectroscopic techniques. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of biochemical principles and laboratory procedures, as well as experience working in a startup or similar dynamic environment.

👩 ⚕️ Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize analytical methods for the quantification and characterization of lipids, sugars and proteins.
Perform routine and nonroutine analyses using HPLC, MS, and other spectroscopic techniques (e.g., UV-Vis, FTIR, Raman).
Prepare samples for analysis, including extraction, purification, and derivatization. 🧪
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including HPLC, MS, and spectrometers.
Analyze and interpret data, and prepare reports summarizing results.
Contribute to the development and validation of new analytical methods.
Collaborate with other scientists and researchers to support project objectives.
Contribute to a safe and organized laboratory environment. 🔬

Profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree in biochemistry, chemistry or a related field. 🎓
Proven experience (at least 2 years) in analytical biochemistry, with a focus on lipid, sugar, and protein analysis.
Strong hands-on experience with HPLC, MS (LC-MS, GC-MS) and spectroscopic techniques.
Experience with sample preparation techniques for biochemical analyses.
Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation software.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 🤝
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in an English-speaking environment.
Experience working in a startup environment is an asset.
