Job description
The objective of the Director of Commerce and Logistics is to develop and implement the commercial strategy of the fair and solidarity alternative proposed by the OMDM network (Oxfam - Magasins du Monde).
The sales department is composed of 4 departments : purchasing, logistics, sales in the OMDM network and sales to other networks. The Director of Commerce and Logistics is a member of the Management Committee and reports to the Executive Board.
The most important part of the turnover is achieved through the mobilisation of our movement in 63 stores in Brussels and Wallonia, and then through the network of 200 Oxfam-Wereldwinkels, autonomous non-profit organisations attached to Oxfam Belgium. In addition to our networks, we also want to convince more companies and local authorities.
Your missions as Director of Commerce and Logistics :
Define and implement a policy for the development and direct and indirect supply of food and non-food products, in compliance with the fair trade criteria established by Oxfam-Magasins du monde.
Develop a marketing and sales strategy for the various sales networks and ensure its implementation, including its logistics component. This mission requires close collaboration with the Mobilization Department in order to respect the objectives of a continuing education movement.
Manage the commercial activity to ensure profitability. Establish department budgets, sales forecasts, monitor the network of stores around the world.
Motivate, guide and supervise the different teams in the department.
To set up, feed and manage a commercial commission.
Participate in the work of the management committee, voluntary bodies (board of directors, regional assemblies, general assembly) and national and international platforms bringing together fair trade actors. Establish appropriate collaborations and synergies.

You are enthusiastic about the idea of working professionally in the service of a volunteer movement.
You have proven experience in team management, you easily manage to unite around your objectives and you are attentive to the development of your team members.
You have a commercial background and proven experience in a similar position.
You are solution-oriented and result-oriented.
You are ideally trilingual French, Dutch and English.
You are used to working in changing environments and have a good ability to adapt and question.
You communicate easily, both orally and in writing, with a developed sense of listening and an ability to forge partnerships and create a network.
With a creative and positive spirit, you are able to propose and promote new ideas and contribute to the development of the organization as a whole.
Rigour, organizational skills and analytical skills are among your qualities.
You have a real IT affinity and a perfect command of current software, you have experience in the use of an ERP (ideally Business Central).
