Job description

Engineering Graduate Program? Your career begins in September 2024 at STIB!

More sustainable mobility. Now that's an impactful goal! As an engineer, you contribute directly to this and see the result all around you.

At STIB, you can decide to take different paths: the digitalisation of our activities, the modernisation of the metro, the expansion of the tram network and the construction of new depots are just a few examples of the exciting projects for which STIB needs you.

Are you passionate and enjoy moving projects forward, engaging with diverse stakeholders and working independently? Come and take part in the construction of the Brussels of tomorrow!

Being hired as a Engineering Graduate is an unforgettable entry into the professional world! During the first 2 years of your career, you have the opportunity to start with 3 missions of 8 months in different fields (in a non-exhaustive way, but to give you a more precise idea, you could be required to work on the commissioning and testing of a hydrogen refueling station, technical coordination, studies and site monitoring for cross-functional projects or the study of the implementation of soft driving in trams and the impact on energy consumption and customer satisfaction)

At the end of these 2 years, you choose your path within STIB!

Profile

  • Ideally, you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a technical focus (electromechanics, mechanics, electricity, electronics, etc.)

  • You are 'knowledgeable' in electricity/mechanics/pneumatics/hydraulics/power electronics and interested in new techniques

  • In addition to being motivated, flexible and curious, you have real analytical skills and a real sense of responsibility

  • You are ready for your first work experience or you have less than a year's experience

  • You have an excellent command of French and ideally Dutch or you are willing to learn the second national language

Why apply?

What's in it for you:

  • You will develop a transversal knowledge of the various STIB-MIVB professions, strategy, technological developments thanks to a "Taste & Try out" course and the unique opportunity to occupy, in the long term, a position in the field that best suits your desires for development and evolution

  • You put your skills at the service of sustainable mobility and thus contribute to improving the quality of life in Brussels (already mentioned above)

  • You will benefit from the expertise of experienced colleagues, who are ready to support you in the various stages of your development

  • You benefit from on-the-job coaching and a tailor-made training program

  • You start at the same time as other Young Starters with whom you share great moments during team builings and other activities throughout the year

  • You are hired on a permanent contract with an attractive and competitive salary from the start!
