Vias institute is a knowledge centre that focuses on sustainable behavioural change in order to reduce social risks. We have been doing this for more than 30 years in the context of road safety, but from now on we will also focus on mobility, safety and healthcare. Vias is engaged in research, advises, develops innovative applications and provides training. We work for citizens, policymakers, governments and companies, both nationally and internationally. As an employee at Vias institute, you will work together with 130 colleagues to achieve these goals.
To strengthen the support services, we are looking for a Junior Accountant.
As a Junior Accountant, you are jointly responsible for the correct execution of the bookkeeping. This involves:
You enter purchase and sales invoices on analytical cost centers and follow up on debtors and creditors.
You carry out the banking transactions.
You contribute to a timely monthly closing and a correct VAT return.
You assist in the preparation of the annual accounts and provide input for the subsidy files.
You will assist in the preparations for the audit.
You take care of the financial follow-up of the projects, both internal and external reporting.
You do all this in collaboration with the Accountant and the Operational Director.
Profile
You have a bachelor's degree in accountancy-taxation or a master's degree in finance.
You are good with numbers and analytical thinking is second nature to you.
A first experience in accounting is a plus.
You are well organized and work accurately.
You are a team player with a sense of initiative and you do not hesitate to help out where necessary.
In addition to a very good knowledge of Dutch and/or French, you also speak a word of English for communication with international partners/suppliers.
