To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel.

Task Set

As Junior Legal Counsel at the Vias Institute, you will play a crucial role in supporting our various departments and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Your tasks will be as follows:

Contract management : You are responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating various contracts, including contracts with suppliers, cooperation agreements and HR contracts. You ensure that every legal document complies with the applicable legislation and represent the interests of the Vias Institute.
Grant management : You will be closely involved in the management of grant applications, in particular through the submission of applications, the monitoring of compliance with the conditions of granting and the preparation of reports to the competent authorities.
You are responsible for the preparation and drafting of meeting reports of the major administrative bodies within our company. This includes accurately documenting decisions, action points, and policy directions.
DPO component : As DPO (Data Protection Officer), you ensure that the Vias Institute complies with the laws and regulations in force. You ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations. You support the development and implementation of privacy policies and handle requests from data subjects.
Support developing activities : You will contribute to the legal aspects of our growing business by proactively anticipating legal challenges and opportunities. You will work with different departments to strengthen legal advice and reduce risk.

Profile

You have at least a bachelor's degree in law or an equivalent title.
You have an excellent knowledge of the Belgian legal system and the relevant laws and regulations.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
You are an excellent communicator, you speak and understand (ideally) perfectly Dutch and French and have a good knowledge of English.
You are able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
