The Vias Institute is a knowledge center focused on sustainable behavior change with the aim of reducing societal risks. We have been working on this for more than 30 years in the area of road safety, but now we are also focusing on mobility, safety and healthcare. The Vias Institute conducts research, advises, develops innovative applications and provides training.

For our Vias SAMJA department (support service for alternative judicial measures), we are looking for a: social travailleur.se for the creation and support of work sentences.

Task Set

You supervise groups of service providers serving a work sentence in the context of a driving offence.
You create, organise and lead activities related to road safety for all types of public.
You will ensure the administrative follow-up of files in compliance with professional secrecy.
You attend the weekly distribution meeting with the other Brussels SEMJAs and ensure good cooperation with them.
You actively participate in road safety awareness campaigns at various events.
You help to coordinate and physically supervise litigants in the Brussels region. Travel in Wallonia is possible.

Profile

You have a bachelor's degree (special education teacher, social worker, psychology assistant, community health nursing, etc.) and you are interested in road safety.
Experience in one of the following areas is an asset: project management, file follow-up, group work, social work, animation.
You are willing to work two weekends a month. Occasionally, you may work in the evening.
You are pedagogical and proactive in your work.
You are creative and autonomous and you communicate easily.
You know how to organize, plan and actively manage the supervision of a project.
You have a B licence and a car.
You have a very good knowledge of French and a basic knowledge of Dutch. A basic knowledge of English is an asset.
