Job description

The Public Centre for Social Action of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert is recruiting a· e Nurse· Chief (m/f/x) on a full-time permanent contract at the BH5 scale of the civil service with a rapid entry into service for the Home Saint-Lambert and the Lise Thiry Short Stay of the Service and Care Establishments.

The role of this service is to ensure the quality of care for residents by maintaining autonomy and improving the resident's health on a physical, psychological and social level.

The objective is to ensure the proper functioning of the institution as well as to optimize the quality of care.

Your main tasks:

Supervise employees :

  • Distribute the work, the schedule;

  • Adapt the existing schedule to the needs of the unit;

  • Lead and motivate employees;

  • Supervise employees;

  • Detect their needs (training, operational interviews, etc.).

Organize care and control care activities:

  • Ensure the quality of care (care plan, apply instructions);

  • Update care records, perform KATZ scale assessments;

  • Ensure that employees have the necessary equipment;

  • Troubleshoot issues related to the operation of the unit, ...  

Optimize services to residents :

  • In consultation with colleagues, the multidisciplinary team and management, consult on experiences, problems, complaints and make proposals for improvement in this regard.

In collaboration with the head nursing colleagues:

  • To create a full-fledged living space and home for residents, where optimal assistance and care are combined with the most comfortable stay possible ;

Coordinate and exchange relevant information with other departments in order to coordinate activities.

Profile

  • Hold the A1 nursing diploma and the nurse visa.

Behavioural skills:

  • Have the ability to listen, empathize and understand;

  • Respect the rules of confidentiality and professional secrecy;

  • Have a critical eye on professional practice and an ability to question oneself with a view to evolution;

  • Be soucieux.se of the overall well-being of the elderly and the disoriented elderly person, their safety and respect for their dignity and appreciate the relational aspect.

Technical skills:

  • Possess management, team and project management skills, be able to implement cohesion and team spirit, be good at dialogue, be able to manage possible conflicts and know how to motivate a team ;

  • Be available and be willing, if necessary, to intervene in care (also on weekends or public holidays);

  • Have a sense of organization and be able to support projects and bring them to fruition;

  • Be rigoureux.se and able to react with calm and self-control. This rigour also applies to the follow-up of administrative files.

Additional  advantages:

  • Have a diploma in health management;

  • Have proven experience in a CPAS in a nursing home;

  • Have knowledge of Dutch and be in possession of the Selor language certificate, corresponding to your level of function.

Opening hours :

Variable hours from Monday to Friday (early time slot: between 06:45 and 10:00 for arrival – 14:45 and 18:00 for departure ; late time slot: between 12:00 and 12:15 for arrival – 20:00 and 20:15 for departure) + service of one weekend / 3 (alternating an early weekend / a late weekend).

Recovery of the Saturday worked the week before and the Sunday worked the week after.

  • A selective written test

  • An oral test
