Job description
The Project Manager is part of the General Management Department and more specifically of the OMDM Movement Department, whose main mission is to develop and support a large network of volunteers training local teams in a lifelong learning approach. The aim is to support the adult volunteer teams in their dynamics as well as in their mission to raise awareness and put them into action ; to inspire and carry out projects to revitalize and sustain the network. He/She is part of a team of 6 people and reports to the Head of the Movement Team.
Main missions
To continue and implement continuing education actions for and with the adult volunteers of the movement
Support teams in their democratic organization, in their activities, in their difficulties or in change
Recruiting, equipping, leading and training volunteers
Ensure ownership of the continuing education and awareness process
Energize the network of volunteers through existing projects or bodies and by creating new projects or events that bring people together
Work closely with the other departments of the organization (advocacy & awareness, communication, sales,...)
Carry out the administrative and logistical tasks inherent to the missions
Profile
Training or experience in the field of continuing education
Experience in facilitating, training and/or managing volunteers
Ideological adherence to the Oxfam-Magasins du monde project
Desire to work professionally in the service of a volunteer movement
One of the two positions requires skills and knowledge of the aspects of volunteer management: support for team dynamics, analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of OMDM volunteering, development of new types of volunteering, diversification of offers, recruitment, reception, integration, standardization of practices, monitoring, transmission and sustainability.
The other position requires skills and knowledge in event management and communication : management of the Oxfam breakfast project, organization of mobilization events, management of existing communication tools, creation of new formats (videos, social networks,...),...
Dynamic, enthusiastic and proactive personality with a strong team spirit
Good knowledge of the associative network in Wallonia and/or Brussels
Good knowledge of computer tools
Have a B licence and availability for many trips in Wallonia or Brussels (exceptionally in the evening or at weekends)
For one of the two positions, it is mandatory to meet the ACS[1] conditions for Brussels
