How will you make a difference

In this role, you will be part of a team of KYC & FC specialists from several countries, who are collectively responsible for developing and executing the group's KYC & Financial Crime procedures. 🌍

This position is part of an international team of KYC & FC specialists, and we are currently looking for someone with local knowledge and experience of the practices specific to the Belgian market as well as the laws and regulations that govern it. You must be able to translate your knowledge in the field of KYC & FC into clear and risk-based guidance, while keeping our clients at the center of attention.

Your mission is to:

• Develop and perfect the group's KYC & FC procedures at regular intervals, ensuring that the Belgian regulatory framework is rigorously and continuously taken into account;

• Execute KYC & FC procedures broadly, including updating and improving work instructions, providing expert advice and guidance on the application of procedures, answering questions and resolving issues;

• Effectively promote compliance with local requirements and the achievement of priorities set at group level, without losing sight of our bank's guideline;

• Encourage collaboration and coherence within the Triodos organisation, both inside and outside your department, to provide guidance and support with regard to Belgium, without losing sight of our bank's guideline;

• Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management and serve as a link between the BE operational teams, local and group level compliance, MNO, legal and IT departments and other relevant stakeholders;

• Work as a team, with knowledge of KYC & FC applicable to Belgium, but also taking into account other stakeholders, to have a mindset based on risk assessment as well as to be able to quickly supervise the operational impact of necessary changes;

• Work in collaboration with other KYC & FC Procedures Specialists and the local Business Change Owner (BCO);

• Have a long-term view of the KYC & FC field, as well as a good understanding of market and regulatory developments, but also effectively align short-term decisions and initiatives as well as long-term objectives and changing circumstances.

To be successful in this position, you will need to...

• Have a flexible mindset as well as the ability to prioritize various tasks and be able to effectively communicate these priorities to stakeholders

• Have in-depth knowledge and experience of the local and European regulatory environment

• Preferably hold a bachelor's or master's degree or be able to justify equivalent professional experience

• Have obtained certifications attesting to your in-depth knowledge in the field of KYC & FC (e.g. ACAMS/ICA) type or be willing to obtain them

• Be able to demonstrate your experience in developing and executing KYC & FC procedures as well as enforcing local requirements

• Foster broad collaboration using your excellent communication and teamwork skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (with other specialists, as well as IT, legal, compliance, and our (local) operations and management teams)

• Fluency in English as well as French and, preferably, Dutch

• Be able to demonstrate your affinity with Triodos Bank's mission and values

Who will you be working with?

The KYC & FC Centre of Expertise (CoE) is organised at the group level. You will report to the Procedures, Processes & Training Team lead. On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with other KYC & FC specialists, the local BCO, operations teams, as well as IT, MNO, legal and compliance departments.
