🏡 Context 

The reception house @Home 18-24, is part of the non-profit organisation Maisons d'accueil des Petits Riens. Based in Forest, the structure provides housing to homeless men aged 18 to 24. With a capacity of 21 beds and operating 24/7, a team of about ten social workers is responsible for the reception, accommodation, psycho-medico-social and administrative follow-up of young users.

To complete the team, we are looking for a full-time Social Worker.

 💪 Missions

Under the supervision of the Director of @Home 18-24, your mission will be:

  • Reception, administrative follow-up and psycho-medico-social support for young people in order to facilitate their long-term autonomy

  • The collective educational animation of the house

 👉 Tasks 

  • Reception : carrying out the reception interview, the anamnesis, the installation in the room and in the group of users

  • Budgetary and administrative monitoring : putting the user's financial and administrative situation in order

  • Evaluation : supporting the definition and implementation of the users' project

  • Educational support : providing tutoring, working on hygiene, etc

  • The management of the collective life of the house : ensuring the preparation of meals, cleaning, recreational activities, sports and cultural activities, etc.

  • Support for the user's exit from the reception centre to his or her accommodation

  • Well-being and safety : ensuring cohesion between users and compliance with safety measures

Profile

  • You have at least a bachelor's degree with a social orientation (social worker, special education teacher, etc.) 🎓

  • You ideally have valuable experience in the areas of homelessness or mental health or addiction

  • You are proficient in the tools of the Office suite (Word, Excell, Outlook) 💻

  • You offer good oral and written communication skills in French. Knowledge of other languages is an asset

  • You demonstrate proven human qualities of listening, empathy, unconditional acceptance and congruence 💛
