Job description

Do you want to work as a bike mechanic in a cycling association? Pro Velo develops customized solutions to facilitate and strengthen the transition to cycling and thus contribute to a better quality of life. 🚴‍♀️

We are looking for a person to join our workshops in Namur and Gembloux, composed of 4 mechanics and a workshop coordinator. Your mission consists of logistical management, mechanics, support for reception and information for the public.

📆 You work 2 days/week in Gembloux and 3 days/week in Namur.

👉 Your tasks

Repairs of different types of bicycles (muscular, electric, cargo, longtail, folding, etc.) 👨 🔧
Maintenance of the bicycle fleet.
Reception and information on the services offered by the Bike Points.
Reception services. 🤗
Store management and monitoring (stock)
Management of bike and accessory rentals, repair schedule.
Maintenance of the SNCB bicycle parking areas and around the station.
Deliveries of bicycles by van. 🚚
Participation in team meetings.
Participation in the events of the Bike Point.
Ensures the smooth running of activities and the proper functioning of the building.
Support for all the actions and projects carried out by the establishment and by Pro Velo.

Profile

👀 Profile and skills sought

You have a minimum of 1 year's experience in bicycle mechanics (preferably) or you have a good level of knowledge and a solid foundation in mechanics
We can count on you, you are resourceful, independent, organized and rigorous
You are autonomous, proactive, versatile and dynamic 💪
You are ready to work between Namur and Gembloux
You like to be in contact with customers, you are helpful, you have a sense of hospitality and you always find solutions 👌
You are able to manage the basic administration of a bike point (in connection with the management of bike and accessory rentals, the repair schedule)
You are concerned about active mobility and environmental issues
You are willing to work occasionally in the evenings or weekends, and in other locations
Advantage : you are in possession of a category B 🚗 driving licence

A gross monthly salary between 2538 euros and 2722 euros (full-time salary) depending on the recognized seniority in a similar position.

Eco vouchers of 250 euros on the basis of a full year and full-time .
Reimbursement of home-work travel expenses (0.35ct/km for cycling – 100% public transport) and reimbursement of travel expenses for missions

The performances are mainly during the day during the week, and occasionally in the evening and on Saturdays
A 30% discount on bike purchases/repairs/maintenance carried out in our workshop.
