A Planning/Schedules Manager for the Nursing team (m/f/x)

Under a permanent contract, full-time, on the B1 scale of the public sector, with an entry into office as soon as possible, for the Home Saint-Lambert and the Lise Thiry Court Stay, its establishments and care services.

Located in a green setting opposite the Roodebeek park, the Home Saint-Lambert is an approved rest home (MR) and rest and care home (MRS), offering 130 individual rooms.

The Lise Thiry Short Stay, an extension of the Saint-Lambert Home, offers elderly people adapted temporary accommodation. It meets the needs of convalescence and consolidation of the state of health after hospitalization, or offers secure care when the assisting spouse is hospitalized or the family is unable to provide care.

In this context, we are looking for a Planning/Schedules Manager to ensure optimal organization of the Nursing teams, while guaranteeing rigorous administrative management.

What you will do on a daily basis :

Management of schedules and schedules :

  • Develop and adjust the schedules of the Nursing teams taking into account operational needs and individual constraints;

  • Follow up on absences (leave, illness, training) and manage last-minute replacements;

  • Supervise clocking in and ensure schedule compliance.

  • Ensure the follow-up of new students ; jobseekers ; nursing staff in terms of the opening hours of the entry pack.

Administrative management:

  • Update databases related to schedules and personnel ;

  • Track hours of work, leave requests and other relevant administrative elements;

  • Facilitate smooth communication with team members on planning-related aspects.

  • Continuous evaluation and improvements of processes and procedures related to the above-mentioned points.

Collaboration and coordination :

  • Collaborate closely with the Nursing Department, the Head Nurses and the time clock service to anticipate and respond to organizational needs;

  • Actively participate in meetings to align planning with departmental priorities.

Profile

Profile sought :

Required qualifications:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree (preferably in administrative or management); 

  • Have significant experience in a care environment (hospitals, nursing homes, etc.) ;

  • Have expertise in managing schedules or schedules, ideally using dedicated tools (time clock management, scheduling software, etc.).

Behavioural skills:

  • Be methodical, organized and rigorous ;

  • Know how to react calmly and masterfully to the unexpected ;

  • Be service-oriented, a team player and an ability to communicate effectively ;

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing environment.

Technical skills:

  • Proficiency in the Office suite, in particular Excel, Outlook and Word ;

  • Have a good knowledge of French, both written and oral.

Assets :

  • Have knowledge of schedule management software (e.g. Care Plus); 

  • Be in possession of the Selor language certificate, corresponding to your level of Dutch.
