Join Maison Dandoy, a renowned Belgian institution that has been specialising in biscuit crafts for almost 200 years. As a Product and R&D Coordinator, you will play a strategic role at the heart of our team, contributing to the optimization and continuous development of our iconic range. 🍪
You will play a central role in the management and optimization of our range of references. You will develop new products and references, improve existing recipes, while working closely with the sales, marketing, production and quality teams. You will be responsible for analyzing sales and margins by category, as well as identifying products to add, improve or remove from the range.
👉 Missions:
🔎 Research and Development:
Manage innovation projects according to the company's strategy, from the marketing brief to the first marketable manufacturing
Manage laboratory tests (prototyping) and tests and then monitor manufacturing until quality/productivity objectives are achieved
Improve existing recipes as part of the transition to raw materials more in line with the company's strategy or to optimize production processes while maintaining optimal quality (economy, rationalization, improvement)
Monitor and source raw materials and contribute to innovation that drives differentiation in the market
Calculate the cost of each product taking into account raw materials, manufacturing cost, labor, and other indirect costs.
Work with the production and quality teams to identify efficiency gains, standardize manufacturing processes, reduce losses and waste, improve product quality.
Carry out regulatory, competitive, technical and technological monitoring in your field
Participate in trade fairs and conferences to boost your business - occasional travel to be planned
📊 Product Lifecycle Management:
Create and update bills of materials in our ERP
Implementation of the roadmap at the product level (activation/deactivation according to the seasons, new products, etc.)
👌 Category Management and management of the Maison Dandoy range of items:
Analyze sales and profitability by category
Identify references to add, improve or remove from the range.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, shop floor, and quality teams to define product development priorities.
Profile
👀 Profile sought:
2 to 5 years of experience in a factory or R&D department, ideally in the biscuit sector.
Good knowledge of culinary R&D and product innovation in the food sector
Proven skills in R&D, product creation & manufacturing, project management, production cost management and cost price calculation.
Creativity and passion for product innovation, with an excellent grasp of quality and food safety standards.
Strong skills in data analysis, sales performance management and category management
Proven ability to work in a team, with exemplary autonomy and organization.
