
Senior Accountant (M/F/X)
Job description
Within our organization, the main goal of the Finance department is to support SMART's strategic objectives by ensuring financial compliance with our operations.
The finance department consists of three departments; the accounting and finance department, management control and customer service.
The senior accountant will join the accounting and finance department, consisting of 7 people under the responsibility of the Deputy Director of Finance.
The latter will provide support to the Deputy Director of Finance as a Senior Accountant.
The senior accountant's mission will be to support the maintenance of the cooperative's general and analytical accounting.
Main activities:
Carrying out tasks related to the day-to-day accounting management from A to Z of the cooperative (general and analytical accounting, balance sheets and income statements, tax and social declarations)
Provide backup to other members of the department
Responding to accounting and tax requests related to the cooperative's activities
Realization of monthly and annual accounting closes
Ensuring the link within the cooperative and its partners, and with tax and financial interlocutors (banks, accountants, auditors, internal and external auditors, tax and social security bodies, etc.).
Contribute to the optimization and implementation of accounting procedures and processes
Profile
You have:
A bachelor's degree in accounting at least
5 years' proven experience as an accountant in an SME/SMI
A good accounting and financial culture
Mastery of budgetary, financial and economic management
You master and can put into practice :
Belgian legal, accounting and tax standards (with notions of IFRS standards)
Data analysis and accounting operations through the following office tools: Excel, Sage and Power BI (spreadsheets, databases, management of accounting operations, reporting, etc.).
You demonstrate :
Good analytical skills

Good communication while being assertive

Initiative and are proactive
