
Business Controller
Job description
👉 Your mission:
As a Business Controller, you play a crucial role in supporting the Management Team and business departments in their decision-making process. You act as:
Business Partner: Challenge, advise, support and co-create in daily activities and strategic projects.
Gatekeper: Monitor financial processes, ensure efficiency and validate decisions.
Change Agent: Identify new opportunities, bring external insights and benchmarks, and drive continuous improvement change.
Your role combines strong financial knowledge with strong business acumen. You are a key contributor to the execution of the company's strategy and financial sustainability. You report to the CFO and are part of the finance team, which is made up of 4 to 5 members.
💼 The main responsibilities are as follows:
Lead the forecasting and budgeting process, ensuring accuracy in planning, tracking, consolidation, and reporting.
Monthly P&L Analysis: Provide financial insights and recommendations through variance analysis, KPI reporting, and performance monitoring. 📊
Analyze revenue, OPEX, and CAPEX to identify trends and areas of cost optimization.
Support strategic projects by conducting financial feasibility studies and advising on business cases.
Cost Modeling, Maintenance, Green Dot Fee Calculation
Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and best practices, continuously improving reporting processes. 👌
Conduct in-depth financial analysis and timely reporting to support decision-making.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, aligning finance with business goals.
Participate in the ISO 9001 internal audit: Improving the internal management process
Profile
You have a master's degree in economics/finance or a related field and (at least) 4 to 5 years of experience in auditing, management control and/or business analysis 🎓
You are fluent in Dutch, French and English
You have a thorough knowledge of Excel, knowledge of ERPx (Unit4) and Power BI is a plus
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
You are very organized and a skilled planner.
You have a strong business acumen with a strategic mindset
You are able to work independently and as part of a team
You have a proactive, rigorous and detail-oriented 🔎 approach
You have excellent communication and consulting skills
Stakeholder management is a key part of this role
