Today in Belgium, educational inequities continue to grow. At 15 years old, the difference between a student with a high or low socio-economic index is estimated at an average of 3 school years. In Brussels, more than 50% of pupils are already at least one year behind at the end of the 3rd year of secondary school and 11% of pupils leave school without any qualifications. Joining Teach for Belgium means committing to a better future for these students !
👉 How ?
For 2 years, participants in the Teach for Belgium programme teach full-time in secondary education in schools with a low socio-economic index and are paid by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation or the Flemish Community.
We put together a comprehensive training, coaching and networking programme to increase your impact in the classroom and beyond by engaging you in the school and in the communities. The objective is to develop you so that you become an actor of social change in the world of education.
🌟 After the program
After the 2 years of the program, your skills will have been strengthened and will allow you to choose with confidence the rest of your professional career as an alumni. Among the alumni, some will remain in the classroom as teachers while others will continue in education, the associative, private, administrative or political sector depending on their skills, projects and experiences.
Profile
We recruit and train young graduates and professionals from all sectors who have the skills, energy and motivation to teach in schools that need it most and to commit to reducing educational inequities.
We are recruiting for subjects with a shortage of teachers, namely : mathematics, science, Dutch and French. 👩🏫

The agrégation is a plus, but is not compulsory.
For the teaching of any other subject, you must be in possession of a teaching title (AESI or AESS).It is necessary to have a passive knowledge of English.

Conduct of interviews
Teach for Belgium is currently looking for candidates for the 2025-2027 school years (start of the programme in mid-July 2025).
In order to apply, candidates fill out an online application on the website.
Afterwards, the successful candidates will be invited to a selection day. Space is limited.
