For more than 190 years, La Maison Dandoy has been the oldest biscuit factory in Brussels, famous for its artisan biscuits and delicious waffles. We celebrate simple pleasures with natural products, made with passion in our Brussels workshops.

We are looking for an Assistant Horeca Manager for one of our tasting rooms, ideally located in the centre of Brussels.

🤝 What we expect from you:

  • Promote service excellence : Ensure that each customer has a memorable experience by maintaining high-quality service standards. Be attentive to detail to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure effective team management : Under the supervision of the Manager, you will participate in the daily management of the team, motivating and coaching members to create a positive work atmosphere. You will organize the team's schedules, breaks and tasks.

  • Know and manage products : Familiarize yourself with our product assortment, including cookies, waffles, and beverages. Make sure that all products meet our quality standards and that recipes are properly executed. You will be on the ground with the teams to support them.

  • Manage inventory and orders : Participate in inventory management by adhering to FIFO procedures and minimizing losses. You will also be responsible for managing orders and inventories.

  • Maintain an impeccable work environment : Ensure that the tasting room is clean and tidy at all times, respecting hygiene and food safety standards. Make sure the facilities, including the washrooms, are spotless.

  • Be proactive : Identify issues and suggest ways to improve how the salon operates. Share your observations and suggestions with the Manager.

Profile

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic individual with the following qualities:

  • Management experience : Previous experience in the HORECA industry is required. You must have led a team, managed day-to-day operations, and ensured compliance with hygiene and quality standards.

  • Customer service sense : You enjoy interacting with people and want to provide them with a memorable experience. ✨

  • Team player : Comfortable working collaboratively with your colleagues, while following the instructions of your store manager and retail manager.

  • Passion for products : An affinity for gastronomy and a curiosity for our delicious creations are essential.

  • Autonomy and organizational skills : Able to manage your time effectively while maintaining high standards in your work. You are also comfortable with computers.

  • Flexibility : Ready to adapt to the needs of the store, with variable hours and availability on weekends.

  • Languages : Fluency in French and English (ability to make sales). Other languages are a plus.

  • Careful presentation : Particular care taken with your appearance.
