Job description

We are looking for a motivated Account Management Operations who will build sustainable  relationships with waste management intermunicipal companies and private waste operators, manage contracts and organise market consultations  to work together on the efficient and high-quality collection and recycling of PMD, paper, cardboard and glass.  🌱

👉 Your main tasks:

  • You build a long-term relationship of trust with various stakeholders in your customer portfolio. These customers are the Flemish intermunicipal waste companies , on the one hand, and the food carton recyclers, on the other .

  • You will manage the contracts between Fost Plus and 5 Flemish intermunicipal companies. Your 7 customer service managers in the team manage similar contracts with the Flemish, Walloon and Brussels waste intermunicipal companies.

  • You organise and evaluate the market consultations for the collection of PMD, paper and cardboard and glass in collaboration with your intermunicipal companies that work with private partners. With the intermunicipal companies that collect themselves, you negotiate their costs. You are also responsible for budget monitoring, data monitoring and outreach.

  • You are responsible for the organisation of the annual call for tenders for the acquisition of beverage cartons that are placed on the market (proposals for which lots will be placed on the market per sorting centre, drafting of the specifications, evaluation of tenders, allocation, coordination of the administration,...)

  • You are "the" point of contact at Fost Plus for beverage carton recycling and work closely with your colleagues from other teams such as quality and control, design for recycling and innovation. 🤝

  • You have an eye on operational improvement and profitability and strive to optimize the associated administrative tasks.

  • You look after the interests and meet the needs of your operators and intermunicipal companies within various moments and themes of internal consultation, always with a view to offering an optimal service.

  • After a training period, you will coordinate one or more internal projects as a project manager (with the guidance of the Project Management Officer) and you will be encouraged to take initiative within an ever-changing organization.

Profile

  • You have a bachelor's degree or higher. 🎓

  • You have at least 5 years of (preferably relevant) work experience, preferably in the waste sector.

  • You are Dutch-speaking, but you also have a sufficient  command of English and  French for both oral and written communication.

  • You work fluently with Excel and you can easily find your way around digital applications such as reporting tools. 💻

  • You communicate fluently and clearly, both verbally and in writing, and at the same time you show the necessary diplomacy . You can also listen actively and create an open dialogue with your interlocutors, both externally and internally. 📣

  • You can convince people by using relevant and decisive arguments to defend your point of view and you deal well with counterarguments.

  • You work accurately and with an analytical mind (with regard to costs, revenues, materials and tonnages) and you have enough affinity with numbers to manage large budgets.

  • You work in a result- and solution-oriented way ; you respond proactively; You anticipate events and problems and make proposals to improve processes and procedures.

  • You always act in a customer-oriented manner and tailor your actions to the sensitivities, needs and wishes of your accounts, without losing sight of Fost Plus' objectives.

  • You actively contribute to collective results.
