The IRIS Sud Hospitals are looking for an Accountant (m/f/x), on a full-time 🤩 permanent contract for the Accounting Department

About us:

Our hospitals include 4 sites: Etterbeek-Baron Lambert (Etterbeek), Joseph Bracops (Anderlecht), Etterbeek-Ixelles (Ixelles), and Molière Longchamp (Forest). Our public health facilities are distinguished by the benevolence and respect of the staff towards each patient.

Our accounting department is made up of 8 people dedicated to general and accounts payable and accounts receivable.

You will be responsible for recording, processing and analyzing accounting operations, thus allowing for an accurate representation of the financial position and the provision of accounting information in a timely manner. You will be integrated into the Accounts Payable and General Accounting department, in close collaboration with the purchasing and management control departments.

More precisely, what does the job consist of?

Under the responsibility of Mr Ronald Raviart, Head of General Accounting and Supplier, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Management of incoming and outgoing invoices : Encode supplier invoices and ensure their follow-up, as well as the issuance and follow-up of outgoing invoices (excluding patient invoicing). 📝

  • Accounts Payable Tracking : Tracking accounts payable, processing account statements, searching for missing information, and ensuring payment of debts according to established agreements.

  • Institutional collaboration : Communicate with various internal departments to obtain the necessary information. 🤝

  • Detection and reporting of irregularities : Report any anomaly or problematic case to the manager for proactive resolution.

  • Credit Information and Monitoring : Respond to debtors regarding open credits and provide the necessary information.

  • Management of tax returns : Ensure the administration and follow-up of VAT returns and other tax obligations.

  • Periodic closings : Actively participate in quarterly and annual closings by ensuring up-to-date accounting data.

  • Maintenance of accounting databases : Participate in the management of accounting databases and collaborate in the maintenance of purchasing software.

Profile

Your training : You have a bachelor's degree in accounting 🎓

Your experiences and knowledge

  • If you have just finished your studies or have a first experience in an accounting department, we will provide you with the necessary support to develop yourself

  • Knowledge of accounting and VAT rules applied to the hospital sector is an asset

  • You are comfortable with computers (MS office, accounting software) 💻

  • You have a good knowledge of the second national language

Your skills 

  • Autonomous in your work, you also enjoy working in a team and have a sense of collaboration 

  • You express yourself clearly both in writing and orally and adapt easily to your interlocutor 

  • Your proven sense of organization and management of emergencies and priorities 

  • Rigorous, you are precise and fast in the execution of your tasks

Remuneration based on our social charter, with resumption of seniority :
