Job description
To contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Social Economy Department, in particular to build customer loyalty, attract new customers, improve the shopping experience of customers, maximize store turnover, we are recruiting a Commercial 🚀 Communication Officer
👉 MISSION
Under the supervision of the communication/marketing manager and in close collaboration with the content creator and the sales teams, you will play a key role in the development of the notoriety and attractiveness of our stores. Your mission will be based on four main axes:
To make Les Petits Riens stores a dynamic and attractive chain of stores (in collaboration with the sales team).
Retain existing customers and better understand their expectations.
Promote our products and services to a wider audience.
Attract new customers by promoting the social and environmental added value of material donations and in-store purchases.
You will also have a central role as a support service for the sales department and will be responsible for the effective and consistent implementation of external communication within our store network, in order to optimize the customer experience, boost sales and build customer loyalty.
📝 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Development and implementation of the commercial 📣 communication strategy
Define a global commercial communication strategy aligned with the objectives of Les Petits Riens' economic activity.
Define key messages, targets and communication channels in consultation with the communication/marketing manager and the sales teams.
Plan and manage campaigns, actions and projects in coordination with the sales teams.
Manage the sales communication budget and optimize the allocation of resources.
Monitor market trends and competitors' actions.
2. Operational implementation and support 🤝
Ensure the operational implementation of in-store communication, including long-term communication (signage, visual identity elements, etc.) and communication related to campaigns or one-off actions.
Prepare communication kits for stores, manage displays and signage, and coordinate the dispatching of equipment across the network.
Prioritise, process and follow up on requests for communication support from departments related to the economic activity of Les Petits Riens.
Work closely with the visual merchandising department to ensure consistent and attractive visual communication.
Anticipate the operational implications of the actions implemented.
3. Creation and management of campaigns and communication 💻 actions
Design communication and promotional campaigns from A to Z to retain and attract a diverse clientele.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent, impactful visual communication that is tailored to different audiences.
Coordinate communication around promotional events related to our economic activity.
4. Management and development of local and external 💼 partnerships
Establish and maintain partnerships with local organizations and other stakeholders, stores and businesses engaged in the social economy.
Ensure the communication component of partnerships with external companies and organizations related to social economy projects (fundraising operations, Fédération Ressources campaigns, fairs and exhibitions, etc.)
5. Knowledge of the second-hand market as well as customers and donors 🔎
Monitor the evolution of the second-hand market and the expectations of customers/donors.
Supervise or initiate surveys in points of sale or drop-off to better understand our audiences.
6. Analysis and reporting 📊
Track and analyze campaign results via key metrics (KPIs).
Write regular reports with recommendations for improvement.
Participate in the creation of an "impact report" to promote the actions of the communication department.
Profile
Degree in marketing, communications, or similar field. 🎓
Minimum 5 years of experience in a comparable position.
Experience in the social economy or second-hand sector is an asset.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills and respect for deadlines.
Structured and project management-oriented approach.
Creative and resourceful, able to propose innovative ideas to support the sales network.
Comfortable with operational tasks and fieldwork.
Critical thinking, autonomy, initiative and assertiveness.
Excellent writing skills in French, basic command of Dutch.
Ability to produce accurate quantitative and qualitative balances.
Creativity in tool development and copywriting.
Proficiency in Office Pack, WordPress, MailChimp, and Meta.
Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
Interest in social and environmental issues related to second-hand and the social economy. 🌱
Knowledge of the missions and challenges of the association, with the desire to become an ambassador.
