Who are we?

Are you an ambitious individual looking to tackle climate change during working hours too? We are a climate tech start-up located in the heart of Brussels, seeking an ambitious and motivated person to help develop our company.

At Tapio, we are developing a software to accelerate the climate transition. Our partners and in-house Climate Experts use Tapio to work more efficiently and provide added value to their clients.

What you’ll do in a few words

Our start-up is looking for our next sparring partner. A curious person, willing to challenge the status quo and help our CEO with his daily tasks.

Tapio’s team is growing rapidly, and our strategic initiatives, operations, and revenue management continue to evolve with us. After learning about our carbon strategy platform and meeting your teammates, you will be guided and trained by our CEO.

You will work closely with the CEO and other co-founders on the following projects:

  • Implement internal tools and processes to improve team efficiency;

  • Participate in strategic projects, including Tapio’s international expansion;

  • Contribute to the structuring and management of human resources, as well as the recruitment of new talent;

  • Coordinate and support the different teams (Sales, Service, Tech, etc.) on different topics;

  • Contribute to the CEO’s communication with the rest of the team (emails, documentation, etc.);

  • Perform data analysis and reporting on the business, for internal or external use;

  • Build and develop company culture through events, team building, and parties;

  • Enhance and cultivate employees’ career paths;

  • Manage Tapio’s key stakeholders (employees, board of directors, investors, …);

  • Support for financial tasks (fundraising, grants, acceleration programs, etc.);

  • Improve knowledge management.

Profile

A person who is aware of climate issues, who knows how to be motivated, proactive, creative, rigorous, etc. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn more, autonomous and able to take initiative.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Education: You have a higher education, business or engineering degree. You want to acquire skills and responsibilities very quickly;

  • Ownership: you are a person of action and you aim for results;

  • Objective: You have a strong interest and sensitivity to climate in general;

  • Efficiency: You are analytical and rigorous, very detail-oriented and you like productivity tools;

  • Adaptability: you have a strong ability to adapt, you are curious and autonomous;

  • Autonomy: you can work independently and progress independently;

  • Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial spirit, you love challenges, you are open to feedback, and you are willing to improve every day to achieve excellence. You like to learn and surpass yourself;

  • Problem solver: you are pragmatic and know how to solve problems quickly.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous experience in a similar position;

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral) – French or Dutch is a plus;

  • Become familiar with the processes for calculating and reducing greenhouse gas emissions: carbon footprint (GHG protocol), Lyfe Cycle Assessment (Simapro or others), SBT, etc;

  • Sensitivity to climate issues, motivation, proactivity, creativity, precision, ownership and enthusiasm;

  • Endless learner, eager to keep up with cutting-edge technology;

  • Open-minded and with a great sense of humor.
